Coming from the former British Colony of Trinidad & Tobago, I had the opportunity to see close up and receive a smile from Her Majesty when she visited us in the 1980s.I worked as a Protocol Officer so it was easy to be near her. Charming, gentle and considerate. Her Christmas Day Messages were always an inspiration as the sentiments echoed the joys and challenges of her family and the world at largre.May she rest in eternal peace.
