Queen’s visit 2011

Created by Olivia Yu-Chia one year ago
I was fortunate to meet and talk with the Queen on November 11, 2011. I’m from Taiwan but I didn’t have time to prepare national dress at that time so I chose Scottish dress instead. I recalled when the Queen saw me in the first place, she looked surprised, so I did some explanations on my dress to her and said I enjoyed the time at Goodenough College. She then smiled and told me that’s really nice to hear. Actually the Queen also came to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Goodenough College and refurbishment of WGH on that day. She signed on the guest book and I felt great honor again to put the event notes next to her signature on the guest book. Overall the experience was unique and unforgettable. And the Queen was really kind and lovely. I would like to give my deepest condolences to the Royal family. But after seeing rainbow over the Buckingham Palace I believe His Majesty the King will also be a good leader as his mother to the United Kingdom.
